Was a Rapist Released From Prison due to Being Trans?
No, they were not.
According to The Daily Wire: “Convicted Child Molester Let Out Of Prison Because They’re Transgender, No Longer A Threat, Government Says”
“Child Rapist to Be Released from Prison Because He Is Changing Gender” says Breitbart
“ Court Says Child Molester Not a Threat Because He’s Transgender Now” spouts political commentator Louder with Crowder.
What all of these conservative news articles have in common is the fact that none of them are accurate. But hey, who am I to fight against people who are literally paid to write articles for a living as a “journalist?”
Maybe just someone who read the article and researched a little. Something that I discovered that journalists don’t really do anymore. That said, are they releasing their child-molesting monster because they identify as a woman now? Not even close.
The facts:
As the Desmoines Register, the initial article to publish about the offender, Smith, states:
“ The Iowa Attorney General’s Office is no longer seeking the commitment of a former Midwest Christian Services student convicted of myriad sex crimes”
Seeking commitment to where?
“ The report recommended Smith be confined at the Cherokee Civil Commitment Unit for Sex Offenders (CCUSO) in Cherokee for an indefinite period. But it was premised upon Smith having the sex drive of a man.”
So the rapist and child fondler, Smith, was going to go to CCUSO, where, according to their website:
“ Inpatient treatment is indefinite, with the length of commitment dependent upon the time required for each individual to complete the criteria for advancement through five (5) treatment phases.”
So they would have been released from prison after 4 years and places in a treatment center until they finished treatment, and then released back out into the world. So they were being released anyways, it seems. “indefinite amount of time” does not mean “forever,” like the National Review believed when it said the court was going to be “committing him to a mental institution indefinitely”
But according to the Desmoines article, this kiddy rapist will be sent to the “ Sioux City Residential Treatment Facility”. They will then be released and “be subject to sex-offender registration requirements for the rest of her life… which includes regular meetings with a probation officer and a listing on an attorney general clearinghouse.”
Hormones and Recidivism
Why is Smith not being put into the stricter treatment facility? Well, the CCUSO provides treatment for people who they determine are “more likely than not” at risk of reoffending. That mans that in order to be put into this institution, which only has a 150 occupancy, they would need to be 51% likely to reoffend, which was not even the case before the transition.
In fact, according to the Desmoines Register:
“ The report found the likelihood of re-offending within five years of release exceeded 20% because victims were of both genders, and because Smith was under age 25 and never had a long-term relationship.”
However, since Smith has been on testosterone blockers, this reduced their sex drive similar to that of Chemical Castration. Chemical and Surgical Castration has been shown to drastically reduce reoffense rates, as shown in this study, which states:
So THIS is why they are deeming the Kiddy F*cker less of a threat. This is due to them basically receiving what is akin to chemical castration.
So no, sorry Crowder, you can’t just “transition to a different gender and you can fly the jail coup.” You can, however, chop your balls off and take hormones for the rest of your life, and maybe they’ll consider you less of a threat due to reduced testosterone in your system.
Despite what deluded “alternative media” sites (AKA glorified blogs) may want to believe, the justice system is far from “politically correct” and often let out people with extremely light sentences when they deserve far more.
Imprisoned for Life
Smith being released, to me, is a HUGE miscarriage of justice. They molested and/or raped at least 15 kids as young as 1 year old. These victims will be scarred for the rest of their lives, and this jackwad is going to be released from prison and able to walk the streets, regardless of which way the courts rule for their treatment facility.
they should be behind bars, or in a treatment center for the rest of their lives. It is disgusting that someone who has 15 victim under their belt is able to walk away.
But that being said, do not use this as a case to attack or ridicule transpeople. This child rapist does not represent anything else but scum.
